Healthy Frozen Yoghurt

Updated: Jun 15, 2020

I have a confession to make.

One thing that can really get under my skin is Googling recipes and clicking the link to direct me to a web-page, only for the recipe to be waaaay at the bottom of a really long, detailed post about the why's and the who's and the ins and the outs and the what's of how the recipe was developed.

Honestly, most of the time I just want to see the Ingredients, the Preparation Method, and maybe an appetizing picture or two. I figured that if I feel this way, then many of you equally busy ladies probably feel the same! Soooo I'm going to keep my recipe posts short, simple, and to-the-point.

So without further ado, let's go! 😁

Ingredients (makes 4 servings)

- 400 g medium- or low-fat plain yoghurt

- 64g (2 heaped scoops) protein powder of your choice (personally I like chocolate or cookie dough, but it's up to you!)

- Spices to taste: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg

- 40g diced raisins or dates

- 1 TBSP vanilla or caramel essence

- Mix all the ingredients together until the mixture is nice and even.

- Divide the mixture into 4 small containers, then seal each with a lid.

- Place in the freezer and leave overnight - or until you're keen for a sweet treat! 😊

Very few ingredients, easy to whip up, adjustable depending on your taste preferences, annnnd....HEALTHY!

These are high in protein, free from refined sugars, preservatives and additives, and come in at around 150 calories per serving. And if those aren't enough reasons to win you over, then the fact that they're absolutely delicious should do the trick! 😁🙌
