
De- LITE- ful Chocolate Brownies!

I have a confession to make.
One thing that can really get under my skin is Googling recipes and clicking the link to direct me to a web-page, only for the recipe to be waaaay at the bottom of a really long, detailed post about the why's and the who's and the ins and the outs and the what's of how the recipe was developed.
Honestly, most of the time I just want to see the Ingredients, the Preparation Method, and maybe an appetizing picture or two. I figured that if I feel this way, then many of you equally busy ladies probably feel the same! Soooo I'm going to keep my recipe posts short, simple, and to-the-point.
Not only are these brownies delicious, they come in at around just 45 calories each. Yes, you read that right! Yummy, comforting, chocolate-y and sweet - and best of all: refined sugar-free!
Now that's what I call a winning recipe! So without further ado, let's go! 😁

Ingredients (makes 9 brownies)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup zero-calorie sweetener (I like using Stevia or Selati)
- Nonstick Cooking or Baking Spray
- 1 large free-range egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup date paste or applesauce
- 3/4 cup medium- or low-fat plain yoghurt
- 1/2 cup low-fat milk
Ingredients for Brownie Topping
- 30g (2 TBSP) peanut butter
- 32g (1 heaped scoop) protein powder. I like chocolate, but use whatever flavor you'd like!
- 40g medium or low-fat plain yoghurt.

Method
1. Preheat oven to 180° C and grease a 9″ x 9″ baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, beat together cocoa powder, oats, Truvia, baking powder, salt, egg, applesauce, yogurt, and skim milk.
3. Pour brownie batter into baking pan and bake for 18-20 minutes.
4 For the Brownie Topping: mix the 3 ingredients together until the mixture is completely blended.
5. Remove brownies from the oven when the 18-20 minutes is up, then spread the Brownie Topping evenly over them. Be careful not to burn yourself!
6. Allow brownies to cool for 15-20 minutes.
7. Evenly cut into 9 squares and enjoy!
